The Kappa Sigma Chapter of the Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity at the University of South Alabama is proud to host its 6th Annual Viking Week—a multi-day philanthropic event filled with fundraisers and spirited competitions. The week culminates with our signature event, Taug-of-War, held at the university's on-campus mud pits.

This week is dedicated to raising support for Feeding the Gulf Coast, a nonprofit organization committed to nourishing families in need across the central Gulf Coast.

Thanks to the generosity of our community and sponsors, last year’s Viking Week raised more than 85,000 meals for individuals and families facing food insecurity.

The Kappa Sigma Chapter of the Alpha Tau Omega (ATΩ) is a Greek Organization
at the University of South Alabama. Alpha Tau Omega emphasizes a values-based approach, focusing on personal growth, academic excellence, and character.

The brotherhood of ATΩ forms lifelong friendships and professional connections. In addition, our commitment to giving back allows members opportunities to make a positive impact on their communities. Who is Feeding the Gulf Coast?

Feeding the Gulf Coast is the food bank serving a 24-county area across South Alabama, South Mississippi, and the Florida Panhandle. In 2025, the food bank distributed 37 million meals through more than 800 community partners throughout its service area. Feeding the Gulf Coast works to turn hunger into hope for the 1 in 6 individuals, including 1 in 5 children in our local community with nowhere else to turn. Your donations make this possible.

How much of my donation goes directly to support people in my community who face hunger?

97% of every $1 donated to Feeding the Gulf Coast supports programs that feed families and individuals who face hunger. Also, every $1 donated to Feeding the Gulf Coast provides 5 meals for those facing hunger right here in our central Gulf Coast community.
