We have a bold goal—to reach every child facing hunger in our community
Every child deserves the nourishment they need to grow, learn, and thrive—every day, in and out of the classroom.
Yet, many teachers in our community see students arriving at school hungry, having had little or nothing to eat over the weekend. To help bridge this gap, Feeding the Gulf Coast’s Backpack and School Pantries Program provides children with nutritious food every weekend throughout the school year.
Your generosity makes this work possible.
$180 sponsors one child for the full school year through the Backpack Program. $215 supports an older child with meals through the School Pantry Program.
Together, every gift—no matter the size—helps ensure children in our community don’t face a hungry weekend.

Who is Feeding the Gulf Coast?
Feeding the Gulf Coast is the food bank serving a 24-county area across South Alabama, South Mississippi, and the Florida Panhandle. In 2025, the food bank distributed 37 million meals through more than 800 community partners throughout its service area. Feeding the Gulf Coast works to turn hunger into hope for the 1 in 6 individuals, including 1 in 5 children in our local community with nowhere else to turn. Your donations make this possible.
How much of my donation goes directly to support people in my community who face hunger?
97% of every $1 donated to Feeding the Gulf Coast supports programs that feed families and individuals who face hunger. Also, every $1 donated to Feeding the Gulf Coast provides 5 meals for those facing hunger right here in our central Gulf Coast community.
